Bangkok offers a widely varied nightlife including Westernized clubs and cafes for the rich, and lower-cost bars and pubs that are very popular with the locals. The city's Phra Nakhon district is home to probably the most profound worldwide example of a "backpackers' ghetto", The Khaosan Road, where you can enjoy a relaxed drink on the side of the road while taking in the unique sights and sounds of this famous street.

There are nightclubs located in most areas of Bangkok with the most famous venues such as Bed Supper Club and Q Bar situated in the Sukhumvit area. RCA (Royal City Avenue) and Ratchada also have places to dance the night away and are a comfortable distance from major hotels and transportation.

Sukhumvit Road boasts some of Asia's most crowded clubs along the 5 km section between Ekamai and Withayu. There are also numerous cabaret shows that run nightly all over the city as well as some great restaurants and cafes along the famous Cha Phraya River, affectionately known as the River of Kings.
